LA MONTAÑA QUE VINO DEL MAR
Para hacer una montaña
el mar arroja a la playa conchas tornasoladas.
Las olas alzan pájaros
y caracolas de espuma.
Los cangrejos traen estrellas de mar.
Las ardillas puños de arena,
Los venados mucha arcilla.
Y cantos rodados el rabí pelado.
Un morrocoy se pone a llorar:
empezaron por juego y les salió de verdad.
¡La montaña ya está lista!
COLIBRÍ
Tucusito
jade rubí,
vibrante
clave de sol,
fugitivo
picaflor,
torbellino
tornasol.
EN LA RAMA
La ardilla
cola colorada
viene y va.
Si le miras
los ojos
al revés,
verás
una nuez
¿o una canica tal vez?
CANCIÓN DE LA MONTAÑA
¿Montaña, de qué tejes tu vestido?
-de hojas de bambú.
¿Quién ríe en el cañaveral?
-el agua en su tobogán.
¿Qué brilla en tu monte sin sol?
-la orquídea tornasol.
¡Montaña, qué linda estás
con capa de nubes blancas
y abanico de mariposas¡
ALBA CON LLUVIA
Con olor
a tierra mojada
retoña la luz,
la parcha,
la guayaba.
Húmeda
se abre:
la flor de la alborada.
BAILE TROPICAL
La brisa tañe las largas
cuerdas del bambú.
Las chicharras suenan maracas.
El sol la lonja de su tambora.
Giran aprisa giran,
lagartijas y hojas secas.
BUCARE
El sol del atardecer
en sus ramas se enredó.
Y amaneció el árbol
lleno de flores de fuego.
MARIPOSA
Mensaje
de amor
para ti
y para mí.
ATARDECER
El canto
de los grillos
abre
un camino
blanco
en el monte
oscuro.
